The group of Norsemen who became known as ‘Vikings’ referred specifically to the seafarers who raided those lands bordering the North Sea, particularly the sparsely-defended Britannic coasts. This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close. Nordic Raiders are a type of missile cavalry in Total War: Attila. The unit moves into a close formation and raises shields.

The Sassanid units are a little more realistic, and the faction colors change as well as the emblem.

This is a personal mod that I decided to upload, It adds four units to the Sassanid empire, one for Himyar and another one for the Lakhmids. From a gameplay standpoint, many lacked late-game, top-tier units that could compete alongside major empires. Two fierce warrior cultures clash - only one of them has had the sense to bring a few javelins and learn to fight to the death. Elite Units for Sassanids, Lakhmids and Himyar. A problem Rome 2 had was that many non-major factions felt incomplete. One thing I noticed is that the unit rosters are very robust.
So I am at a loss as to what faction to play first: Western Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire, the Saxons, or the Jutes. I suppose the second one was meant for the Elite Nordic Spearmen. I am excited to play as the Jutes, if only for the Huscarls. I am playing as Geats and it seems there is a bug regarding the Elite Nordic Spearmen, in the research panel, I already researched the Elite Army class but in the description it says twice that the nordic warriors are upgraded to elite nordic warriors.
